The goal is to get buyers into your home, and then have them see themselves in it once they are there. According to the National Association of Realtors, 74% of real estate agents said that “buyers know what they want in an ideal home before they ever get started on their search.” By staging, buyers will want to come see your home, and then they can see themselves living there. Unfortunately, if your home isn’t staged right, many buyers will pass.
2. It is proven that staged homes decrease time on the market. In fact, according to the NAR 28% of agents notice a slight decrease in days on market, with 25% stating there is a substantial decrease. So over 50% of agents believe it has an impact.
3. Staged homes actually sell for more than nonstaged homes. Why? According to Betsy Wilbur, a home stager, stated that “A staged home will sell for 17% more on average than a non-staged home, and 95% of staged homes sell in 11 days or less. That is statistically 87% faster than non-staged homes.”
