Thinking of postponing your house hunting till after the holidays? You might be making a big mistake. I have seen some of the best values and mades some of my easiest sales during the holidays and I am going to share with you some of the restons why I think it is actually a great time to buy.
First off, there is less competition. Right now there is a huge amount of competition because the mortgage rates are low and the inventory is also tight. Everyone is looking to buy, but some might not be able to during the holidays. Second, Holiday sellers are more motivated. Unfortunately for the seller, if they are listing during the holidays or their home is on the market they may be looking to decrease the price and get the home sold rather than move over the holidays. Third, Faster closings. This is of course related to the more motivated sellers and agents looking to get things closed prior to the holidays. Lastly, seasonal sales. Home buying and seasonal sales go hand in hand. You can furnish your new home with less expense with accompanying holiday sales.
