I have other clients who are looking for continuum living solutions that offer both care and companionship. Whatever your circumstances, when you first think of downsizing there is the big question of what to do with all of the things you have accumulated. Many things, however are not as valuable at auction as you may imagine. Here are the top items that sell at auction and are worth gathering for an estate sale according to top auction houses.
First, are antiques such as early asian antiquities, Japanese woodblocks, art, pop culture collectibles, and toys. Second, furniture that is mid century modern, scandinavian, or other modern furniture of high quality. Third, are high quality deco designed furnishings in wood. Fourth, toys from the 1960s and comic books. Fifth, Baseball and sports memorabilia from the 1960s or earlier. Sixth, early advertising signs or displays. Seventh, Gold coins, jewelry, silver coins, flatware and hollow ware. Eighth, historical and political memorablia, and lastly, antique cars and automobile memorabilia.
