Philadelphia Country Club offers 27 holes of Championship Golf. The original course was located in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, and moved to its present location in 1924. The Spring Mill course was designed by William S. Flynn, and opened for play in 1927. It is a private club, but the program is open to all levels of play. Next is the Aronimink Golf Club, which is a private Platinum Golf Club located just outside of Philadelphia in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The club dates back to 1896 and in 1926 it acquired 300 acres in Newtown Square and commissioned Donald Ross to design the historical golf course. There is also the very famous, Merion Golf Club. Merion Golf Club is a private golf club located in Haverford Township and The club has two courses: the East Course, and the West Course.
