If you are new to The Main Line market, you will want to familiarize yourself with all of the neighborhoods and their unique character, school districts, amenities, and commute time, if you make one. Beds and baths, configuration, square footage, amenities, and the “it would be great if it had” type of amenities. We have abundant homes on The Main Line, but they will be selling fast. Then, get prequalified. This takes the guess work out of all the looking. There are many financing options right now and financial products if you are a first time buyer or are looking to borrow in other ways. Transacting in real estate, requires an A-team of professionals from inspectors to lawyers. Be sure that you have vetted the right people to work on your behalf. It is imperative that you have the right team working for you to win. In the spring we see a lot of sellers enter the market and while prices are stabilizing in many areas, The Main Line housing market is still very competitive. We see homes selling in a matter of days still, so it is important to be on the lookout and be prepared when homes go on the market, to move on them.
