Best Parks on The Main Line PA is an insider guide to the top places to enjoy summer. Summer is right around the corner and with schools letting out and many of us not traveling yet, I wanted to share with you a few things you can do in The Main Line PA. I wanted to share my favorite parks. My boys now are at the age when they are more likely to be scouting colleges and going to summer camps, but these parks are wonderful for families of all ages.
First, there is Willows Park Preserve in Villanova located on nearly 50 acres of land in Radnor offering meadows, water, woodland, and garden views. It is a quintessential picnic spot and great for families of all ages. Another of my favorites is Rolling Hills Parks, which is great for hiking and walking with older children. It is only ten miles from the Philadelphia center and offers meadows, woodlands, and streams. Lastly, there is Valley Forge Park, which is so much fun for old and young children. It has historical buildings, recreated cabins, museums, and recreation facilities to entertain any age and interest in history. For those relocating to The Main Line, in the summers it can be very hot to quite mild. Everyone cherishes the parks and outdoors and it is a big part of life on The Main Line.
